In the olden days, Carolina was also known as “El Pueblo de los Tumba Brazos” (arm hackers town) for resolving conflicts with a duel. This municipality lies on the northeastern coast of Puerto Rico, just east of the capital, San Juan. It was founded in 1816 by Spaniards naming it Trujillo Bajo.
